Naperville mayoral candidate Tiffany Stephens could be kept off the April 4 election ballot if an allegation that she does not meet the residency requirement is found to be valid.
Tiffany Stephens, founder of the nonprofit organization Kids Teen Rider, is running for mayor of Naperville in the April election. Her candidacy is being challenged over a residency issue.
Electoral board members do not have a stake in the election. Chirico is not running for a third term, Hinterlong cannot run again because of term limits and the city clerk is not elected. In the challenge to McDaniel’s petitions, Ahmadpour said they are invalid because the sheets were not correctly numbered or properly “secured or fastened as required by Illinois Election Code.”
