They will act as first responders to assist protection officers in safeguarding and protecting abused and neglected children, including victims of sexual abuse.
“The Social Welfare Department reported an increase in cases from 5,858 in 2020 to 6,144 in 2021 to 6,770 in 2022. Between January and May this year, JKM handled 2,959 cases, involving abuse and neglect in terms of physical, sexual, and emotional.
