AFTER delays, the first of Najib Razak’s trials for crimes related to 1Malaysia Development Bhd is set to begin tomorrow, making him the first former Malaysian prime minister to join a long list of Asian leaders indicted for abuse of power following a fall from power. Tomorrow, Najib faces three counts of criminal breach of trust, three counts of money laundering, and one count of power abuse, over sums amounting to RM42 million of funds belonging to SRC International, a former 1MDB subsidiary.
