His lead counsel Tan Sri Muhammad Shafee Abdullah informed presiding judge Justice Collin Lawrence Sequerah of this on Monday .
Muhammad Shafee said he was instructed to make the application following last month's disclosure of Justice Sequerah's past connection with former 1MDB general counsel Jasmine Loo Ai Swan, who is currently being investigated. On July 26, Justice Sequerah informed parties in the trial that he and Loo were once colleagues at a law firm.The trial continues with former Bank Negara governor Tan Sri Dr Zeti Akhtar Aziz taking the stand for examination-in-chief.
