KUALA LUMPUR, Jan 30 — Jailed former prime minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak's son, Datuk Mohd Nazifuddin, has announced that he wants to run for the Umno Youth deputy chief position in the upcoming party election next month.“As a party member, the main element and the crux of my challenge will be to try to attract more youths to the party.
“I want to contribute not only to Malays but to all Malaysians. As such, with all humility I ask for support from all my Umno friends across Malaysia,” he said in a statement on Facebook yesterday.Meanwhile, Umno is scheduled to hold its party elections to appoint its new office bearers from February 1 to March 18.
