The family of former Malaysian Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak expressed sadness after the United Malays National Organisation (UMNO) reversed its decision to demonstrate solidarity with Najib outside the Kuala Lumpur Palace of Justice. Najib's son, Mohd Nazifuddin Mohammad Najib, stated that this was a significant challenge for his father and the entire family, who must remain strong in the face of this ordeal. Despite the withdrawal, Mohd Nazifuddin emphasized that they respected UMNO's decision and acknowledged the King's decree and the Inspector General of Police's directive to cancel the gathering. He asserted that the rally, which aimed to show support for the King's decree and the importance of the monarchy in upholding national sovereignty, was intended as an act of public support. While acknowledging UMNO's decision, Mohd Nazifuddin stated that family and friends of Najib would still be present to show their solidarity.

“Setiap perjalanan mesti ada halangan sehinggakan hasrat untuk bersolidariti pun menjadi isu,” katanya ketika dihubungi Mingguan Malaysia, semalam. “Kehadiran rakyat menunjukkan keprihatinan dan solidariti dalam memastikan titah tersebut dihormati dan dilaksanakan sesuai dengan perlembagaan serta prinsip undang-undang negara.
Dalam pada ituu, Ketua Pemuda UMNO, Datuk Dr. Muhamad Akmal Saleh menegaskan, keputusannya untuk tetap ‘turun’ pada Himpunan Solidariti demi memberi sokongan kepada bekas Perdana Menteri itu. “Ini bukan kali pertama saya turun. Setiap kali Najib hadir ke mahkamah, saya memang akan hadir, dan kehadiran saya nanti bukan untuk berhimpun tetapi lebih kepada menyatakan sokongan moral kepada beliau.
