With airport authorities expecting over three million passenger arrivals during the Christmas season, there may be insufficient luggage pushcarts at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 3 to cater to all the passengers.

According to Maki Pulido's report on "24 Oras," the NAIA ordered additional pushcarts, but it will take three months for these to arrive.

With this, the Manila International Airport Authority ordered an inspection of the baggage handling system. Airline operators and ground handlers were also told that they needed to have sufficient personnel for the situation. As the inbound passengers may hit three and a half million this holiday rush, airport authorities called on passengers to be patient.

Unlike the previous flights, there will no longer be a line for x-rays at the entrance, and guards would only ask for tickets and identification cards. But an x-ray is still required before proceeding to the pre-departure area. Nevertheless, the MIAA emphasized that the airport's security still met international aviation standards.
