Twenty-four lorries loaded with relief items from the National Disaster Management Agency (NADMA) were dispatched to flood victims in Kelantan, Terengganu, and Pahang, carrying 6,222 tents and 5,500 blankets.
PETALING JAYA: Sejumlah 24 lori membawa barangan bantuan Agensi Pengurusan Bencana Negara merangkumi 6,222 unit khemah dan 5,500 selimut dihantar kepada mangsa banjir di Kelantan, Terengganu dan Pahang, hari ini.
Ketua Pengarah NADMA, Datuk Khairul Shahril Idrus berkata, barangan itu dihantar melalui kerjasama dengan beberapa agensi seperti SMART, Depot Simpanan Pertahanan , Angkatan Pertahanan Awam Malaysia , Angkatan Tentera Malaysia dan Jabatan Kerja Raya . Katanya, ia bagi memastikan penghantaran barangan bantuan ke tiga daerah itu berjalan dengan lancar dan teratur.
“Berikutan kejadian banjir yang semakin teruk, Jawatankuasa Pengurusan Bencana Negeri Kelantan, Terengganu dan Pahang, telah memohon pembekalan segera barangan bantuan NADMA untuk kegunaan mangsa-mangsa banjir. “NADMA melalui penyelarasan Seksyen Logistik telah menghantar 24 lori yang membawa sebanyak 6,222 unit khemah dan 5,500 selimut untuk tiga hari berturut-turut,” katanya dalam satu kenyataan. – UTUSAN
