The words 'Free Korea' was spray-painted on the embassy's walls.

PETALING JAYA: Police are investigating an incident which saw vandals deface the walls of the North Korean embassy in Bukit Damansara early this morning.

The suspects, who have yet to be identified, also spray-painted a few symbols which have yet to be deciphered. The defacing of the embassy’s walls came hours before the Malaysian court’s decision to drop charges against an Indonesian woman accused in the 2017 killing of the North Korean Kim Jong Nam. The murder saw Malaysia’s once-close ties with North Korea severely downgraded with North Korea’s ambassador to Malaysia questioning the credibility of the police probe and insisting that Jiong Nam was an ordinary citizen who had died of a heart attack.
