Some areas of the Garden State could even make a run for 80 degrees on Thursday and Friday, with partly to mostly sunny skies, according to the, effective from 2 a.m. through 9 a.m. Tuesday, when temperatures could drop to the low to mid-30s before rebounding up to 65 to 68 degrees in the afternoon. “Frost could kill sensitive outdoor vegetation if left uncovered,” the weather service said in its advisory for Tuesday morning. “Take steps now to protect tender plants from the cold.”
Temperatures in some parts of New Jersey, including Caldwell and Newark, could rise into the low 70s on Wednesday, Oct. 25, and into the upper 70s on Thursday and Friday, according to the National Weather Service.The frost advisories cover these counties: Atlantic, Burlington, Camden, Cape May, Cumberland, Gloucester, Hunterdon, Mercer, Middlesex, Morris, Ocean, Salem, Somerset, Sussex and Warren, along with western Monmouth and western Passaic.
