Patrol cars were hit by another motorist on the Atlantic City Expressway, authorities said.
A New Jersey State Police trooper was hospitalized with injuries after getting struck by a car during a traffic stop Friday night on the Atlantic City Expressway, according to authorities.
The troopers were on the left shoulder when the car failed to shift to the right lane and struck one of the unoccupied cruisers on the rear passenger side, according to a preliminary investigation. The trooper was flown to an area hospital by helicopter as a result of his injuries, Marchan said.
