The commercial vehicle travel restriction will take effect at 7 a.m. Saturday, as a winter storm looms over the Garden State.
Forecasts warned of snow, damaging winds, and freezing temperatures, which could make for icy, dangerous driving conditions throughout the day.
“Winter weather is expected to begin Saturday morning, which could make driving conditions treacherous, particularly in North Jersey. The travel restrictions are being coordinated with neighboring states. In addition to the commercial restrictions, all motorists are encouraged to avoid unnecessary travel on Saturday,” the DOT said in a statement.The commercial vehicle travel restriction will begin at 7 a.m.
