PETALING JAYA: A group of up to 15 MYAirline employees have filed a police report against the troubled carrier over unpaid salaries.
Abdul Salam Nek Kamal, a customer service officer at MYAirline, said the employees are facing significant financial hardships after the airline failed to pay them their salaries for the past two months.“Our employment status is uncertain as we have not been terminated but unpaid. It’s a stressful situation, especially for those of us with young children.
Abdul Salam said that he previously worked in a similar role at a different company but decided to switch to MYAirline as he was offered a higher salary.“But how long is ‘a bit’? A year? Two years? They really should give us a definitive timeline,” he said.
