IPOH: Muslim youth have a significant role in shaping the image of Islam in the country, says Sultan Nazrin Muizzuddin Shah.
The Sultan of Perak said the"M Generation" aged below 30 is an important component in shaping the Muslim community.
He added that the M Generation fulfils the obligations of a Muslim such as praying, fasting and performing the haj, and at the same time show an interest in various activities such as going to the gym, travelling and immersing themselves in the world of technology," he added. "The older generation needs to offer as much help, opportunities and encouragement to the new generation," he said."In 2014, the halal food industry and lifestyle generated at least USD1.8trillion and is expected to reach at least USD2.6trillion by this year.
