Since then, graduation rates for Indigenous students three years after entering Grade 10 was 44.5 per cent in 2018, 43.4 per cent in 2019, 46.7 per cent in 2020 and 44.7 per cent in 2021, according to this week’s provincial auditor’s report.

Such Indigenous high school graduation rates are relatively consistent across the country, but with 34,000 Indigenous students — or 19 per cent of the total student body — in Saskatchewan schools, such issues are more critical here.Article content
