IPOH: The victim in the murder-suicide incident at Jalan Mohamed Naseh in Housing Trust here on Thursday (Aug 18) has died due to a stab wound to the neck.
Acting Perak police chief Deputy Comm Datuk Azizi Mat Aris said a post mortem conducted at the Raja Permaisuri Bainun Hospital on Friday morning confirmed that the victim, identified as Phang Swee Peng, 67, died from the injury.
DCP Azizi said the suspect, who is also the victim's elder brother, identified as Meng Fai, had died on Thursday. On Thursday, at about 10am, Meng Fai, a taxi driver, and Swee Peng had a heated argument in their home, which led to them fighting.The police are investigating the matter under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder.
