Three of Dladla’s victims, Philisiwe Joyce Zondi, Thembeka Cele and Musawenkosi Sithole died on the scene while he later succumbed to his injuries on arrival at the Harry Gwala Regional Hospital in Edendale. Njabulo Zondi survived the shooting and is currently recovering in hospital.

Yesterday, KwaZulu-Natal police spokesperson, Colonel Thembeka Mbele said it was alleged Dladla first went to a local shop and bought a cooldrink. She said he then went to a liquor store to buy alcohol. “Witnesses then heard shots and Dladla walked out of the liquor store with a firearm. The witnessesgoing on but he did not answer them.
