ALOR SETAR: The Kedah government will hold a special meeting tomorrow to get the latest development on the Covid-19 outbreak and its impact on the state’s economy, says Datuk Seri Mukhriz Mahathir.

The Mentri Besar said the meeting would be attended by all quarters, including department heads, representatives from all districts and elected representatives, including the Opposition.

“I will chair the meeting while state Health Department and Economic Planning Division will table the latest development and the economic impact,” he said after attending the Iskoba Pekan Rabu Fun Ride 2020 programme here yesterday. In a related development, Mukhriz said a few programmes organised by the private sector, including a cycling event in Langkawi, had been postponed.“But the state assembly sitting on March 23 will proceed as scheduled,” he said. — Bernama
