PETALING JAYA: Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin has denied corruption allegation made by a witness in Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi’s graft trial.
“The statement is false. I strongly deny it,” the former prime minister said in a post on his Facebook account on Friday .Muhyiddin added that during the alleged period, he was undergoing cancer treatment and had taken leave for a few months.“In fact, I was having treatment at a hospital overseas,” he said, adding that it was impossible for him to accept bribes in that condition.
On Friday , a witness told the High Court that Ultra Kirana Sdn Bhd had given RM1.3mil in funds to Muhyiddin in 2018. Tan told the court that the funds were given to Muhyiddin in cash payments on June 4, July 4 and Aug 23, 2018.
