IPOH: The devices bought from Swiss encryption company Crypto AG were not used to transfer any form of important secrets, says Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin.

The Home Minister said steps have been taken to ensure that any high-level information is not leaked out.I've discussed the matter with Police Inspector-General Tan Sri Abdul Hamid Bador, and we have control over important information or secrets," he said.

It was reported that Crypto AG has links to the US's Central Intelligence Agency and had sold rigged devices to some 120 countries, including Malaysia."The transferring of information is not that of data that is sensitive. We have our own encryption to ensure that we have control," he said.
