Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin dismissed a PAS leader's suggestion for Datuk Seri Takiyuddin Hassan to be appointed as Perikatan Nasional's secretary-general, stating it is merely an opinion within the coalition's open decision-making process.
Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin , Perikatan Nasional 's chairman, clarified that the suggestion by a PAS leader for Datuk Seri Takiyuddin Hassan to be appointed as PN's secretary-general is merely an opinion. Muhyiddin stated that such proposals are common within the coalition and part of their open and systematic approach to decision-making. He emphasized that all decisions are made collectively through the supreme council .
Muhyiddin also mentioned that PAS Youth chief Afnan Hamimi Taib Azamudden had proposed Takiyuddin for the position, citing his experience and seniority. Meanwhile, it was reported that Datuk Seri Mohamed Azmin Ali is set to be Perikatan’s new secretary-general, with the finalization of his appointment expected during the coalition's supreme council meeting on Dec 9
