JOHOR BARU, April 7 — The Malaysian United Democratic Alliance said it was disturbed by the photos of a 22-year-old man and a 17-year-old girl who were allegedly recorded in the middle of an indecent act and images of them being escorted out of a police truck in remand clothing and handcuffs.
“There must be clear rules and orders surrounding the treatment of minors and any violation by the arresting officer must be dealt with severely,” he said in a statement today. Chew explained that the Child Act 2001 provides clear rules and regulations for the treatment of juvenile offenders.
