PETALING JAYA: The Malaysian United Democratic Alliance (Muda) says it has received an invitation to the unity government convention and will be attending the event.
"We received the invitation. We'll attend tomorrow," Muda secretary-general Amir Abdul Hadi told The Star in a text message on Saturday .
The Muda leadership had previously expressed unhappiness at being excluded from the first two unity government secretariat meetings, even after they had expressed support for the current administration. He recently said the party would hold discussions with the unity government on the possibility of contesting in the upcoming state polls except in Selangor, where it has taken the position to work with PKR instead.
Various issues such as the economy, nation-building, and policies under the Madani concept and how they will be implemented are expected to be raised in the convention.
