KUALA LUMPUR: Muar MP Syed Saddiq Syed Abdul Rahman has filed an emergency motion for the Universiti Pertahanan Nasional Malaysia bullying cases to be discussed in the Dewan Rakyat .Syed Saddiq requested for the motion to be heard in the House urgently as it involves the lives and safety of students.
On Nov 8, a cadet from the university claimed trial at the Sessions Court here for allegedly causing hurt to his junior using a steam iron. It was reported on Sunday that another case of alleged bullying leading to injury at UPNM had come to light. The report stated that the victim, a Year 1 student at the university, had been injured on Oct 21 after roll call at the field.
