In the statement, MSN said that it is only responsible for the costs that revolve around athletes, coaches, and MSN officials. When it comes to the OCM delegation, OCM clarified that the costs were covered by the organisation itself. Costs for the guests, on the other hand, were borne by the ones who invited them. OCM also highlighted that “no government funds were allocated for the event.”
“Top officials attending the Olympics were allowed to bring guests under special accreditation cards. These special accreditation cards were allocated to the OCM president and secretary-general, each with accompanying guests.”Social media users, on the other hand, are still not happy with MSN’s explanation regarding the matter, and many of them believe the quota should’ve been given to more appropriate and relevant individuals.
