Mr Albanese and Mr Dutton roasted the media and parliamentary colleagues in set piece speeches, along with Press Gallery president and leading ABC journalist Jane Norman and comedian Mark Humphries.and producer Brihony Speed overshadowed official proceedings. Many of the speakers called out executives of the national broadcaster over their controversial decision.Indigenous entertainer Mitch Tambo, singer Reigan and band Glassbreakers led the entertainment.
Attorney-General Mark Dreyfus, deputy Liberal leader Sussan Ley and MPs including Jerome Laxale, Helen Haines, Zoe Daniel, Michael McCormack and Zali Steggall led a pumping dance floor well into the night.Environment Minister Tanya Plibersek was accompanied by her son, Joe Coutts-Trotter. The event was also attended by government frontbenchers Penny Wong, Katy Gallagher, Ed Husic and Anne Aly.
