The Manila Police District conducted simultaneous clean-up operations in several streams in Tondo, Manila on Saturday, May 27, in preparation for "Typhoon Betty" .
It added that the clean-up and hauling operations aim to prevent canal blockages that can cause floods. Estero de Maypad is a 1.8-kilometer open drainage canal that connects Estero de Maypajo and Navotas river. Meanwhile, members of Padre Algue Police Community Precinct and Brgy. 250 cleaned the floating garbages in Estero de Magdalena.
