SEREMBAN: A motorist was killed and five others, including three motorcyclists and a pillion rider, were injured when they were hit by a car driven by a man believed to be drunk at Km17.5 of the Lekas Highway here this morning. The motorist, identified as Abdul Salam Saad, 34, died at the scene from severe head injuries in the 3.20am incident, Nilai police chief Mohd Nor Marzukee Besar said.
He said preliminary investigations showed that Salam’s vehicle and three motorcycles were travelling in the same direction from the Pajam toll exit towards Seremban when the car, driving against traffic to enter the toll exit, crashed into them.The three motorcyclists and one pillion rider also suffered hand and body injuries.
Marzukee said Salam’s body was sent to Tuanku Ja’afar Hospital here for a post-mortem. The injured driver was also taken to the same hospital for treatment.Subscribe to our newsletter and get news delivered to your mailbox.
