Motorcycle officer injured in 105 Freeway crash in Hawthorne

The crash occurred shortly after 3 p.m. on the freeway near Prairie Avenue.

According to the California Highway Patrol, three eastbound lanes of the freeway were blocked while authorities tended to the injured officer and investigated the circumstances of the crash, which appeared to involve a bus.

KTLA5 reported that the officer is with Airport Police and was conscious and alert before being taken to a hospital. Airport Police officials could not be immediately reached for comment.
