Haida Pairan, a mother from Malaysia, is sharing her daughter's heartbreaking journey with cancer. Nur Umairah, her eldest child, was diagnosed with cancer after showing several alarming symptoms. The mother's dedication and unwavering love for her daughter shine through her story as she navigates this difficult journey.

Every parent wants to give their children the best, from education to healthcare. However, not everyone is given the opportunity for perfect health, especially when it comes to their own child. It's heartbreaking for any parent to see their child in pain. This is the situation faced by a woman named Haida Pairan, who couldn't bear to see her child's suffering.

Through a video shared on TikTok @allyshaaida, Haida's daughter, Nur Umairah, wearing a hospital patient's gown, is seen crying while expressing her pain. Nur Umairah's face clearly shows the unbearable pain she's enduring, breaking her mother's heart. According to a report from Harian Metro, Haida said the video was recorded and uploaded to TikTok as a memory and as a sign of support for cancer fighters everywhere. 'As a mother, it breaks my heart to see my child crying in pain and I can't bear to watch her suffer,' she said. 'But I have to be strong and hold back my tears so that my child doesn't know and see my sadness. Moreover, my child once asked if she was the reason why everyone around her was sad because she was sick. So from then on, I promised myself that I wouldn't show my sadness in front of her,' she added. Haida explained that Nur Umairah, her eldest child among three siblings, was born healthy and was previously a cheerful and active child who loved sports. 'My eldest daughter (Nur Umairah's nickname) was also a monitor, but in mid-November, she started showing symptoms like frequent fever that didn't get better, looking tired and pale, and there were bruises on her body,' she said. Seeing the significant changes, Haida and her husband (Mohd Fauzi Mahmud, 38) took their daughter to the health clinic and then did a blood test. Shortly after, the doctor called Haida to come to the clinic and informed her that the blood test results were abnormal and advised her to be referred to the hospital. According to Haida, further examination of blood and bone marrow samples at the hospital confirmed that Nur Umairah had cancer. 'The initial acceptance was difficult, and I was deeply affected to the point of feeling faint because I was shocked, couldn't accept it, and didn't know where to step,' she said. Her husband was initially positive but he was also sad. Since November, Nur Umairah had missed many days of school because in early December, she started undergoing chemotherapy, which has now completed four sessions. 'So far, she seems okay, but her emotions are a bit down because she asks why she's in this condition and misses her friends,' Haida said. However, as a mother, Haida is willing to replace her child and bear the pain, but she has no choice but to accept God's will. 'Honestly, at first, I did question why my child was the one who was sick, not me because it was heavy for her to bear at such a young age, but Allah SWT's plan is always better. If I were sick, how would she and the other children be? So as a mother, I will continue to fulfill my responsibility to care for and strive for her to see her recovery,' she said. Haida's strength comes from her child and those around her, namely her husband, family, and friends, because some are willing to come from afar to visit. 'Basically, I'm still working but outside the office and possibly until March, and it might be terminated because I can't attend (the office physically). For me, my child's life cannot be bought, so there might be other rezeki (blessings) in the future,' she said. According to Haida, for now, she and her husband, who work as lorry drivers, are managing the expenses for Nur Umairah's needs, including disposable diapers.
