A first look photo has teased the new movie Mother, Couch, starring Ewan McGregor, Ellen Burstyn, and Taylor Russell.
“The film unspools in a remote furniture store, where Mother stations herself on a green couch, refusing to get up, leaving her three estranged children – David , Gruffudd , and Linda to figure out why,” according to“With the help of the store managers, Bella and Marco & Marcus , David and his siblings embark on what is described as a mind-bending journey to reveal life-altering family truths.
The film will have its world premiere at the 2023 Toronto International Film Festival . It will have its European premiere at San Sebastian’s New Directors competition. There is no word yet on a wide release date. This upcoming movie stars Taylor Russell, Ewan McGregor, Ellen Burstyn, Rhys Ifans, Lara Flynn Boyle, F. Murray Abraham, and Lake Bell.
Mother, Couch is the feature directorial debut of Niclas Larsson. The producers are Sara Murphy, Alex Black, Ella Bishop, and Pau Suris. The executive producers are Jon Rosenberg, Natalie Sellers, Ryan Zacarias, David Harari, and Ewan McGregor.Jonathan Sim is a film critic and filmmaker born and raised in New York City.
