KUALA LUMPUR: 453,761 housing units were built by the private sector and the government from 2018 till 2022, says Local Government Development deputy minister Akmal Nasrullah Mohd Nasir.
Of the total figure, the bulk of it consists of 168,927 units of houses above RM1mil and 162,284 houses below RM300,000.
"Houses below RM300,000 represent 35.8% of the total sale of units that were developed during the five year period. Akmal also said that during the same period, the government approved the renewals and applications of 4,829 advertising and sales permits which involved 426,780 housing units across the country.
