A temporary flight restriction was enforced above another part of the United States, following on from a series of incidents above North American skies.

"The FAA closed some airspace in Montana to support Department of Defense activities. The airspace has been reopened," the FAA said on Saturday. An official from the State Department has since revealed the balloon had the capability of"conducting signals intelligence collection operations" and part of a fleet, which had flown over"more than 40 countries across five continents".
