More Than 40 Billionaires Have Donated To Pete Buttigieg’s Campaign

Sanders, currently in second place in the Hawkeye state, has refused all donations from billionaires.

: “We need the support from everybody who is committed to helping us defeat Donald Trump,” Buttigieg said in December, after taking heat from Elizabeth Warren over a fundraiser held in a private “wine cave” in Napa Valley.The Iowa caucus devolved into chaos Monday night as the state Democratic party refused to release results following a glitch in its vote-tallying app, ending the night with no clear winner.

On Tuesday Democratic Party Chair Roy Price apologized for the failure and released partial results to the public, but said he did not know when all of the vote tallies would become public. As of Tuesday afternoon, 62% of the vote had been made public, with Buttigieg winning 26.9% of the total delegates and Sanders coming in second with 25.1% of the delegates. The tallies are expected to change as the remaining 38% of the vote is released.
