Liberty Station's annual ArtWalk festival is back with live music, refreshments and a selection of local, national and international art
Liberty Station’s annual ArtWalk festival returns this summer with live music, refreshments and a selection of local, national and international art.
The event will unfold around a sculpture garden in the center of Ingram Plaza where visitors can browse all 3D works. The rest of the artists will display their work at booths that will be set up on the surrounding grass area. Among these booths will be a kids’ area full of craft activities for young ones to make and take during the event.
This year, for the first time, visitors will be able to enjoy a drink while walking around the event instead of being enclosed in a designated beer garden. As long as visitors who plan on drinking wear wristbands and stay within the event’s surrounding fence, they are permitted to walk around with their drinks.
Artists don’t need special accolades or titles in order to showcase their work at ArtWalk events. They are selected to participate in the show based on their art alone, which allows artists that may just be starting their creative careers the opportunity to exhibit their work.
