Clementine Nkweta-Salami, Deputy Special Representative of the Secretary-General and Resident and Humanitarian Coordinator in Sudan, said the past six months had been the worst.Addressing a hybrid press conference from Geneva, Switzerland, Nkweta-Salami said that about 30 000 people a day flee from their homes to areas with less fighting or where there's better access to basic needs.
Nkweta-Salami is worried that the crisis now affecting half of Sudan will"threaten to consume the entire country."
