More eye drops recalled as FDA warns of ‘life-threatening infection’

The FDA said Saturday there have been two reports of adverse events related to the recall.

Dr. Berne’s Whole Health Products is voluntarily recalling a selection of its eye drops for fear they may be contaminated by bacteria and fungi., includes the company’s MSM DROPS 5% and 15% Solution; Dr. Berne’s Organic Castor Oil Eye Drops; and Dr. Berne’s MSM MIST 15% Solution.

Out of an abundance of caution, Dr. Berne’s is recalling all of the other lots of the 5% and 15% strengths of MSM Solution and the other products. Dr. Berne’s Whole Health Products is voluntarily recalling a selection of its eye drops for fear they may be contaminated by bacteria and fungi.An FDA analysis found one batch of Dr. Berne’s MSM DROPS 5% Solution showed bacterial and fungal contamination.The FDA said Saturday that Dr. Berne’s has received two reports of adverse events related to the recall.
