More antidotes for cyanide poisoning needed in Pasir Gudang, says minister

THE Health Ministry is running out of Cynokit, an antidote used in the treatment of cyanide poisoning, to treat those affected by chemical waste dumping in Pasir Gudang, Dr Dzulkefly Ahmad said. The health minister said more of the antidote would be ordered from hospitals outside Johor. One antidote costs RM6,000, he added.
