KUALA LUMPUR: Deputy Comm Datuk Kamarulzaman Mamat is now acting Bukit Aman Narcotic Crimes Investigation Department (NCID) director.

DCP Kamarulzaman takes over the post from outgoing director Comm Datuk Seri Mohmad Salleh, who is retiring today.“There are a lot of things that I still want to achieve and contribute to the police force, but it is my time to retire.Comm Mohmad said the success of the police force could not be determined just by one person as all police personnel and officers worked as a team.

“My last post as NCID director also come with its set of challenges, but I am grateful that the department has recorded tremendous success with cases involving the seizures of drugs and arrests of suspects, whom I attribute to the collective effort of all police personnel,” he said. On another matter, the IGP said a task force had been formed to liaise with M. Indira Gandhi and NGO Indira Gandhi Action Team .“We had a constructive meeting with the NGO and her lawyers last week. We have explained to them the actions that have been taken so far in tracking down Indira’s former husband and daughter,” he said.
