PETALING JAYA: Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Mohamad Fuzi Harun, who will be retiring at the end of the week, paid a farewell visit to Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad.
"Dr Mahathir accepted the farewell visit earlier today by the Inspector-General of Police who will end his service this Saturday ," read a post on the Prime Minister's official Facebook page on Monday .Mohamad Fuzi also tweeted that he extends his appreciation to the Prime Minister and feels honoured to have served the Royal Malaysian Police for 35 years.
" highest appreciation and thanks to YAB PM @chedetofficial. I am very honoured to be able to serve in @PDRMsia for 35 years and to have led the team for one year and seven months," he said.He was the Special Branch chief at the time of the disappearance of Pastor Raymond Koh and activist Amri Che Mat.
Earlier this month, Dr Mahathir said that"we will let him retire first and then we will have another IGP conduct the investigation" into allegations that the Special Branch was behind the disappearance of the two men.
