Maszlee says his ministry is in the final stages of preparing a report on graduate marketability.

Education Minister Maszlee Malik has said that his ministry viewed Bank Negara's warning on the employability of graduates seriously.

Between 2010 and 2017, the number of diploma and degree holders in the workforce had increased by 173,457 per annum on average, higher than the net employment gains in high-skilled jobs of 98,514 per annum.to absorb the number of graduates entering the labour force," read the report. Conversely, the report also noted that starting salaries for those with PMR or SPM certification have increased.
