Deputies are still searching for 21-year-old James Leon Baker.
One man is dead and another on the run after Mobile County deputies tried to arrest a man wanted on multiple charges, according to the Mobile County Sheriff’s Office.
While there, deputies spotted Baker leaving from the back of the residence, heading for a wooded area. Baker and an unidentified subject jumped into a Polaris utility vehicle and fled the scene down Mason Ferry Road. Baker remained at large as of late Friday. He is wanted for violating the terms of his parole. Baker is also awaiting trial on charges of identity theft and 2nd-degree property theft.
