MMEA relaunches Op Pagar Laut to curb cross-border crime

The Malaysian Maritime Enforcement Agency will implement its Op Pagar Laut from tomorrow until April 30 to curb cross-border crime. – EPA pic, April 8, 2023.

MMEA deputy logistics director-general Saiful Lizan Ibrahim said the operation will be held from tomorrow until April 30. “They will try to take this opportunity to engage in criminal activities such as smuggling in illegal immigrants, contraband and controlled items; invading and other crimes via sea,” he said after launching the operation today.
