KUALA LUMPUR: The Malaysian Maritime Enforcement Agency officer who was shot in an incident within Kunak waters has successfully undergone surgery, says Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Razarudin Husain.
"When it comes to the holidays, there are those from Kunak to Semporna and vice versa and pirates take advantage of these boats that are at sea. MMEA director for Lahad Datu, Maritime Commander Dr Suzanna Razali Chan, said the two men, together with four others, were conducting patrols during Ops Khas Pagar Laut when the shootout happened at around 8.40am.
