AMSTERDAM (Reuters) -ASML, the largest supplier of equipment to computer chip makers, on Wednesday reported first-quarter earnings of 1.22 billion euros ($1.30 billion), and a worse-than-expected inflow of new bookings of 3.6 billion euros.

KOTA KINABALU: A boat's captain was nabbed in waters off Tawau for ferrying controlled goods illegally.

Malaysian Maritime Enforcement Agency zone director for Tawau Maritime Captain Shahrizan Raman said upon inspection, they found 200kg of rice, 10 packets of cooking oil, 204kg of refined sugar, three gallons of petrol and three LPG gas cylinders on board.
