Could Huntsville’s soccer team become the model for Major League Soccer’s NEXT Pro league?
League president Charles Altchek believes that may be the case.
“As we look ahead to 2023, Huntsville’s a big part of our focus,” he said. “It’s going to be a bright shining star in our league. A lot of folks from around the league are going to be looking at how great things are going in Huntsville.” Altchek said several MLS teams want to find out if can they find that kind of relationship in and around their markets that Nashville Soccer Club has found with Huntsville.
“I get calls all the time from our teams asking about how that came together, what drove it from Huntsville’s perspective, what drove it from Nashville’s perspective,” he said. “They already understand how impactful it’s going to be.
