MINGGU lepas, Jawatankuasa Kira-kira Wang Negara memberikan enam syor kepada Kementerian Kerja Raya dan Lembaga Lebuhraya Malaysia berhubung pelaksanaan Projek Sistem Aliran Bebas Pelbagai Lorong .
Dalam satu kenyataan akhbar pada 2 Disember 2007, Samy Vellu yang menjadi Menteri Kerja Raya pada ketika itu menyatakan, “mulai tahun depan, sistem kutipan tol sedia ada di Lembah Klang akan digantikan sepenuhnya dengan sistem MLFF, yang juga dikenali sebagai sistem gantri. Syarikat konsensi hanya mahu terlibat sama selepas melihat inisiatif ini mahu dilakukan oleh syarikat lain.
Inisiatif MLFF juga merupakan agenda dalam Malaysian ITS Blueprint yang diterbitkan pada tahun 2019 bagi mengatasi isu kesesakan di plaza-plaza tol seluruh negara. Ia dicadangkan secara Inisiatif Pendanaan Swasta sepenuhnya. Perlu diingat kos RM3.46 billion itu adalah untuk tempoh 30 tahun keseluruhan sebagaimana yang diterangkan oleh Zahrul Hakim prosiding PAC.
