On Friday, Mizzou fans stormed a makeshift basketball court set up on Francis Quadrangle’s grass to the tune of Mr. Brightside. It capped off the second year of Mizzou Madness, an event that offered fans their first glimpse of the 2023-24 Mizzou men’s and women's basketball teams.“The energy here is incredible," she said."I love seeing people happy and come together. Mizzou is a special place and it means so much to them.
After the festivities were over, women's coach Robin Pingeton and men's coach Dennis Gates took the stage. Gates also thanked the fans and said what was expected from the Tigers this year following a postseason run the season prior.
