, Mitsubishi Motors has confirmed that its all-new Strada will use a brand-new platform and powertrain. Engineered to achieve safe, secure, and comfortable driving for any weather or road conditions, the all-new Strada/Triton will ride on a newly-developed ladder frame with double wishbone at the front and leaf springs at the back.

This will be paired to a newly-developed clean diesel engine that will have “higher output” compared to the current Triton/Strada. Furthermore, it boasts of improved efficiency thanks to reduced friction loss. “Having the full model change of all-new Triton for the first time in about nine years, we have newly developed the engine, suspension,and exterior, which has resulted in significant improvements in driving performance, comfort and safety,” said Yoshiki Masuda, chief product specialist, Mitsubishi Motors.
