PETALING JAYA: An Investment, Trade, and Industry Ministry director has rubbished a supposed WhatsApp conversation that claimed that a former Perdana Fellow with fake credentials would be able to return to Miti to"carry on as usual".

"I would like to clarify that with regard to the screenshot of my alleged conversation with a Perdana Fellow, the statement 'KBS had to issue a statement to keep the public quiet. YB has requested for you to come to Miti tomorrow and carry on as usual' is totally fabricated. "I never said this, and will make a police report as soon as I am back from my official duties overseas on Sept 27," Miti media and strategic communications director Suria Hill said in a post on X .The Youth and Sports Ministry, in a statement on Sept 13, had said that the person's internship had been terminated following confirmation that a certificate of one of his listed achievements had been found to be faked.

Previously, the fraudster courted controversy again after many doubted his listed accomplishments on his profile after obtaining an internship at Miti. The same person had once also claimed to have been awarded a Nasa scholarship and that he was a Nasa citizen scientist in 2020, which was then found to been false.
